Why Mediate?

Mediation is an opportunity. Litigation is very costly and can take a long time to complete. More importantly, when a decision is left to a judge or jury, the parties are left to the whim of an arbitrary decision maker, and the result is uncertain and unpredictable. With mediation, the parties remain in control. Flexible and creative solutions can be discussed and tailor-made to suit the particular concerns and interests of each party. Additionally, mediation takes place in a relaxed environment with no formal courthouse rules, which enables calm and thoughtful negotiation of the best possible outcome for the parties’ dispute. Finally, due to the confidential nature of the process, the parties are free to negotiate virtually risk free and maintain their privacy.
