Caryn Bayazi

After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ in 1996, and then from Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, LA in 1999, I became a member of both the Florida Bar and the New York Bar.

Life after law school brought me to practice real estate law, including foreclosure and bankruptcy, in New York City where I was an associate with the law firm of Druckman, Raphan and Sinel. After giving birth to beautiful twins, I moved south to Florida to join the rest of my family who had also left the Northeast for the Florida sun.

Once in Florida, the commercial real estate development business allowed me to gain experience in negotiating transactions and contracts between investors, banks, government officials, legal advisors, landlords and tenants.

Later on, collections and foreclosure litigation for condominiums and homeowner associations brought me to court ordered mediations whereby I came to respect and enjoy the attempt to resolve disputes to the mutual satisfaction of the parties through the use of a neutral, impartial third party, the mediator.

Mediation has now become my full-time career, passion and joy. After completing the hours of training and experience necessary to earn a license for each of the mediation fields in which I practice, I began to mediate a variety of disputes from diverse areas of conflict and law. Each mediation conference has reaffirmed my commitment to and contentment with alternative dispute resolution.

As I delved deeper into alternatives to traditional litigation, I trained to become a Florida Qualified Arbitrator. Arbitration is different from mediation, mainly because the Arbitrator renders a decision, instead of the decision making resting with the parties as in mediation, however, the common thread running through both types of dispute resolution is the time, aggravation, and cost savings with a neutral, impartial third party.

Today, I live in Coral Springs with my wonderful husband Oren, and children, Samantha, Michael, Ben and Adam, I continue to practice alternative dispute resolution in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties, and I love every minute of it.
